Wallpaper Collective. Yea, it's still in... (Via Made By Girl)

Wallpaper is still so "in" these days. The fact is, it's being designed with so many different types of patterns that it's HARD to find ones you DON'T like! I remember when wallpaper was starting it's come back & BLOGGERS started writing about it. I admit, at the time I was a bit hesitant. But companies like Graham & Brown restored MY FAITH in this 70's fad & it's been a healthy obsession since then!  


One company you must know about is Wallpaper Collective. This company has a ton of funky wallpaper many with bold graphics and gorgeous colors, you won't be disappointed.  These are a handful of the ones I really liked from their site, you can see more here.

Decorating for Fall

I've started decorating for fall and halloween! At first I was hesitant about decorating the inside of the house because the only people that would see it to appreciate it would be Kevin, me, the cats (?) and my parents. After I started I couldn't stop! Fake spiderwebs everywheeeere. I'm actually pretty bummed I ran out of things to decorate with. I need to continue gathering decorations, hopefully after halloween all the thrift stores will be full of goodies!
Anywho, photos!!




I'm not sure if you can tell or not, but the above spider web is huuuuge! It's on our living room wall and the large spider is about twice as wide as the height of my hand. (sorry that was a really awkward way to explain that!)

Favors Table

One of my favorite parts of planning a party is coming up with a favor that will be a little present to your guests and not something they’ll just trash. For a backyard harvest party that I recently threw, I sewed up some tote bags created from dish towels (I told guests not to look too closely at the stitching) and then filled the table with some fresh takeaways: monster cookies, baguettes, strawberries and flowers. Overall a simple concept but appreciated and not ignored. At least that’s what my guests made me believe.

Smile Like You Mean It

Sometimes I have absolutely no idea what to name a post and this was one of those times. Luckily, I was saved from wrinkling my brain when I remembered something that happened during the shoot, rather something that happens during pretty much every shoot- Cole teasing me and trying to get me to smile. As you will see, he was quasi successful in the last photo.

For most of my life, I've never been a photo smiling type of person; I always feel that I end up looking weird, fake or very awkward, which I do. And the funny thing is my lack of smiling probably gives you all the wrong impression because if you met me face to face you would be surprised to find that I'm a smiling, laughing fool! No joke.

Wedding Wednesday! (Take Two: Cakes!)

I felt like expanding on the post from earlier today with a post dedicated to beautiful cakes! There are only a few that I'm going to share but I'm fascinated with all of the cake shows on TV now and I always see things and think "Ooh! That'd be so pretty at my wedding!" I felt like sharing a few! (Most are from Martha Stewart Weddings! I don't care for her personality much but she's quite the homemaking whiz!) The first cake really reminds me of Susannah and her twitter profile! 
















Another Weekly Wedding Question! What kind of cake do you want to have at your wedding? (Or what kind did you have?) Did you go for fondant or buttercream? Traditional or more ornate? Round, square, or otherwise? What about flavor?! Do share!


My opinion: I can't make up my mind! As per usual! I want so many things but it'll depend on the final theme! I'd like to think we'd do tiers different flavors, but who knows!

Designer Todd Yoggy ....(Via Made By Girl)

Todd Yoggy has a great sense of decor. He really knows how to put things together in an elegant yet comfortable way. He has a way of bringing history into a room and making it fit into today's lifestyle. 
The photos I chose were of MASCULINE style interiors, basically interiors decorated ideally for a man's taste. Even though I don't normally go for dark walls, these really sparked my interest. Have you noticed all the dark lamp shades floating around online?!?
