A few days ago we hit up one of my favorite secondhand stores - The Miscellaneous Barn. In the "bargain room", which really doesn't contain bargains but is just cold and dark, I found this camera bag. It's made from leather, is in near mint condition and is just what I've been looking for. I wanted a small camera bag with a hard shell that would hold one small film camera and some mushrooms (I'm aware that probably sounds really random) for when we go on hikes. The bag was marked ten dollars which I thought was pretty steep but since it just so happened to be exactly what I've been looking for I decided to splurge....
When we got up the counter the owner was adding up our treasures when she looked at the camera bag and exclaimed "ten dollars? oh, this must be wrong!" So she asked if $2 sounded better. Uh, duh! I'm so happy I decided to splurge because otherwise I would have never found it so cheap.
It fits my diana f+ perfectly and still has another compartment of equal size on the opposite side that will be perfect for mushrooms and other found treasures.
When we got in the car I found the original papers that came with the camera bag. It was a list of what you could fit in the bag in each compartment with a few different cameras. Sooo neat!
Speaking of my Diana F+
; here are some more shots from the instant back
. They're definitely not what I was trying to get but the longer I look at them and the more time that passes the happier I am with them.
I finished off a pack of film, got frustrated at the instant back and changed it to the 35mm back. Which I now realize is pretty silly, I shouldn't get frustrated at it but rather take each picture that I'm not satisfied with as a learning experience. So now I have to shoot the rest of the 35mm film before I can put the instant back back on.
Well I've gotta run, today is my mom's birthday party! I'll be back tomorrow! Hope you're having a lovely weekend!
