I put it together yesterday. Doctor Octopus "helped" put it together. Ya know, as much as batting at everything I did helps...
Finally it got put together (with some help of some super glue, the darn thing wouldn't stay standing!). This photo is after I poured the packets of magic liquid on it. You can see it starting to absorb.
About 45 minutes later the liquid had all soaked up and crystals began to form! Exciting!
Didn't pay attention for a few hours, and came back to find this...
Isn't it beautiful?! My trees are even fluffier than the ones pictured on the box. I remember when I was little I had a science kit that you could grow crystals with and they were hard, like rocks. Well these are fluffy and soft. The trees were kind of like cotton candy and the yellow grass was a whole different consistency. The "snow" on the mountain looked just like dippin' dots (yuuuum).
Then Hurricane Kaylah hit and one of the trees fell over. Hey, it wasn't all my fault, that darn thing was really top heavy! It lost a lot of fluff as you can tell from the picture on the right.
But I made lemonade from those lemons and had a mini photoshoot with some figurines.
I want a million more of these kits in all different styles. Here are some I found online if you'd like to try one for yourself; a magic garden just like mine, a christmas tree, and my favorite crystal wish flower. The last one sounds coolest because the reviews said it takes a few weeks to grow, which I think would be more fun that having it grow in just a few hours.
xoxo.
