The outtakes from this were truly some of the funniest I've ever taken. Ya know how the last few outfit posts I've mentioned I'm struggling with feeling comfortable in my own yard since I'm a country girl and living in the 'city' is weird, yada, yada, yada? Well I made a goal that by the end of Summer I'd be comfortable enough to take pictures on my deck. Sounds like no big deal, but when I'm up on the deck I feel like I'm on a massive platform for all the neighbors to look at. On Friday, I just went for it. I started early enough in the day that I'm pretty sure my neighbor on the one side was at work and the other was still sleeping. Then it starts to rain and I have to quit and go inside without any photos. It finally stops raining and I head back outside. Not five minutes later I hear a door open and my one neighbor comes outside and starts working in his garage, five minutes after that the other neighbor pulls in his drive way! Eeek! I freak out, go inside and feel miserable about how I'm such a nervous nelly. Finally after a popsicle and some love from the kitties I put on my big girl pants and went outside determined to get at least one decent photo of my outfit...AND I DID! SO TAKE THAT SHYNESS! BAAAAM!!! I'm pretty stoked but I know that each time I go back out to try with a new outfit it will be equally as challenging, at least for a little while. But that really did give me quite the spark of confidence!
By the way, are those shoes absolutely fantastic!? I think they're snazzy beyond words! I jumped for joy when I found them waiting for me outside my garage door. I'm always nervous getting shoes that I'm unable to try on first but these run true to size and are really cozy.
