I just finished up a brand new about me, I felt like the last one was slightly outdated (also I was getting about an email a day reminding me that Professor Stingray wasn't included...) so it was time to write up a new one which you can find here! While composing it I found myself adding really random stuff which really isn't necessary to share but I really love when my favorite bloggers share things about themselves that I might not know otherwise so I've decided to make a small series of posts sharing things about me. A lot of the things I'll be sharing will be completely random but just like my collection series maybe it will help you get to know me a little better. Here is the first installment!
1// I'm a huge video game fan, mostly older stuff. My favorite gaming platform is Nintendo 64. I'm not into these new video games where I have to move to play them, I prefer to just sit on the couch and loaf while playing. My top five favorite games; Legend of Zelda (I'm going to count them all as one, or else there wouldn't be anymore room on the list), Road Rash 64, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Yoshi Story and I'm a total sucker for Mario Party!
2// My favorite actor will forever be Jim Carrey but recently I've really been into Christian Slater, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell and Patrick Fugit. My favorite actresses are Patricia Arquette (she's sooo beautiful!) and Juliette Lewis.
3// I took dance classes for the majority of my childhood. I would probably still be doing it today had my instructor not moved away, there were no other studios close so I was forced to quit. I took Jazz and Acrobatics for 5 years and Ballet for one. The photo below is from my acrobatics class, that costume was for the song Centerfield by John C. Fogerty. I'm the one in the front kneeling.
4// In the 12 years I was in public school, I only got one detention (which is kind of surprising considering I enjoyed taking food from the cafeteria and growing mold in my locker for a few months as a "science experiment" and writing "I don't care, how will this apply to my life?" on a few assignments.) It was in 7th grade, and it was from my science teacher (who is still my second favorite teacher of all time). I was playing in the fish tank that was in his room and when I walked away I dried my hands by shaking them which got water all over the floor. A classmate came running in the room and slipped and fell. On his way down he slid into the projector which then fell on the floor and broke. (He wasn't hurt) The teacher came in, saw the mess, asked who did it at which point everyone pointed at me! I was given a detention and had to pay $13 to cover the broken glass.
5// I haven't always liked cats. I never had any (inside cats) growing up and always felt like they were solitary, moody, and all in all not very nice animals. For some reason a few years back I decided I wanted one, a few days later I got Squid. Now I can't imagine life without cats and can't understand why anyone wouldn't like cats. Despite what anyone says they're not solitary animals, mine follow me everywhere and always want to be by my side. They can be moody, but so can anyone, right?
Oh shoot, maybe that was a lie...I guess I've always liked kitties. ;)
