Last week all the snow melted for a few days and it was absolutely gorgeous!(it started snowing again,  i woke up with about 5 inches of accumulation. boooo!) Tuesday was the first day in such a long time that we were able to take a hike without wearing bunches of layers. I wore my new overalls (which I'm still over the moon about!) and a sweatshirt! No jacket!! (Okay...so I was a little chilly, but seriously, I didn't even whine because it was so excited to be able to wear just a sweatshirt)
Then on Thursday we went to one of Ashtabula Counties 17 covered bridges. (I'm thinking Kevin and I need to do the tourist thing and tour all of them soon!) We found this one little place in the woods where all the melting snow had created a little waterfall. It was truly magical - and it smelled so good. Nothing beats fresh air! It was great to see the leaves, and the grass. Kevin had fun climbing the huge hill and then sliding down on his butt in the mud, while I wandered around snapping pictures and wishing there was a way to bottle the fresh air so I could enjoy it when the snow inevitably came again.
I'm so happy to have gotten glimpse of spring. I can't wait until it's a warmer. Riding in the car with the widows down, and the music reeeeal loud on a hot summer day is one of the absolute best simple pleasures in the whole world. Soon, so much sooner than it feels.
    xoxo
