A Gorgeous Bathroom Facelift

I had to mash up these images (à la Bright Bazaar) today and share with you this gorgeous bathroom featured in the October issue of Style at Home.  Did you notice the tiled floor? Home owner (singer-songwriter) Matt Dusk with designer Yanic Simard of Toronto Interior Design Group gave his 60 square-foot bathroom an epic facelift featuring a modern clean look, elegant whites, rich wood accents with a European twist. The beautiful mosaic (100 percent recycled) tiled floor took three artisans 14 days to lay and the Eames walnut stool pulls the room together perfectly.  Stunning! Kimberly Moore from Third Floor Design Studio has agreed to let us into her home today....and it's a cozy one at that! She's an Interior Designer who runs an online blog as well as her own e-design & on-site services! Her rates are relatively affordable & if you live in Utah (like her) - then bonus!
 
Don't you just LOVE how with the power of the Internet, designers are now able to help their clients from anywhere around the world...so cool!! 

It definitely beats JUST talking on the phone. In fact with programs like Skype, we can meet & discuss our homes with designers online & not even have to meet in person!

New Pillows from Khiti

Nikki Martin a designer/artist based out of Brooklyn is back at Poppytalk Handmade this month with some new pillows added to her collection Khiti.  You may recall her a while back and her adorable popular Missing Sock posters.  I'm loving these latest silkscreen designs of hers which were created from an illustration and then hand printed.  Nikki studied Interior Design at Pratt Institute in New York and eventually gravitated towards print design. The inspiration for her designs comes from nature, photography, fashion, interior design and architecture. Nadia's Hallway Makeover...

Love, love, love getting pictures from customers who buy my artwork! Even though I'm not able to post all the photos I get from people showing off my designs, I try to post a few here & there!  


One particular reader & fellow blogger, Nadia who I wrote about here sent over these cute pics. She did a hallway makeover....which also included my Love & Hello Languages prints! 


Pretty amazing when you look at the before & after pics. She explains the entire process on her blog from choosing the paint color to that cute little vintage cabinet!

Color Combination: Orange & Navy Blue

Welcome back! Hope you all had a super weekend! The weather has been insanely HOT here, like 106 degrees....I walk out & I'm slowly roasting. It's crazy...



Something else that's HOT these days is color. I'm seeing a resurgence of bright & neon colors all over the web..... so it's safe to say, color is VERY much 'IN' right now.  From home decor, to artwork to fashion....color is everywhere!
 

Two colors I've always loved TOGETHER are navy blue & orange.  These colors are always beautiful if done right...meaning, I don't think it can be pulled off by just anyone. It takes SKILL & vision to create harmony with these colors. 

I came across this cottage on Style at Home that I thought did it PERFECTLY!!

La Casa De Doris....

I always love to highlight other creative people...and even though I've featured Doris before (here).... I'm excited to be featuring her again! She made a few changes to her home since then & was kind enough to let me share the pictures with all of you!!


Hope you'll enjoy this unique home as much a I have!

Venetian mirrors look great almost anywhere in the home. I thought about buying two for my master bathroom....

How cute are these gold reindeer hooks in her bathroom??



















There's something super cool about a LARGE photograph framed behind a glass. This is something I've thought about doing in my own home. 


Not sure where I'd put it, but it has to be a PHOTOGRAPH that doesn't tire easily...you know, something you can look at everyday & still ADORE....










Her style is definitely unique & playful. I wish I had more friends with her style & creativity in home decor- I'm sure it would be so inspiring to visit her home!

















How interesting is this artwork? It reminds me of a board game! Oh and it also contains my fave word "LOVE"



I love modern bathrooms & in this case i like how the bright and colorful pendant adds interest and breaks up this white space.
