A Gorgeous Bathroom Facelift

I had to mash up these images (à la Bright Bazaar) today and share with you this gorgeous bathroom featured in the October issue of Style at Home.  Did you notice the tiled floor? Home owner (singer-songwriter) Matt Dusk with designer Yanic Simard of Toronto Interior Design Group gave his 60 square-foot bathroom an epic facelift featuring a modern clean look, elegant whites, rich wood accents with a European twist. The beautiful mosaic (100 percent recycled) tiled floor took three artisans 14 days to lay and the Eames walnut stool pulls the room together perfectly.  Stunning! This Friday I'm sharing with you a peek into 2 different homes! I've gotten lots of emails expressing how much you guys are enjoying this series. Even though it may not last longer than a few more weeks, I'll still have some home tours in between my posts! 


The first peek is into a bathroom renovation that feels more like a SPA for Jennifer, a reader who hired  interior designer, Shannon Boehme to make her DREAM bathroom come true!


















  
I REALLY loved this idea of putting a COFFEE MAKER in the bathroom!  In this particular bathroom it works well because it's so SPACIOUS. You can brew tea or coffee, it's ideal and makes a spa-like IMPRESSION!

The Outpost in South Africa = No walls

This uniquely designed hotel is situated in South Africa on a hilltop in an untouched wilderness. Only 24 guests for this paradise of a hotel. Made from steel , canvas and aluminum and surprisingly open and unaffected. So basically you are outside when you shower and sleep but with modern ammenities and a few floors up. Its called The Outpost, how appropriate. Not so sure about the sleeping outside though, how about snakes?
