What's Your Favorite Handbag??

Ok ladies, this post is for you! I OWN about 30 handbags. 


I'm not sure if that's a lot - but if I had to guess, I'd say YES!  Every 6 months to a year I try to give one away... especially if I'm not using it. Either to a family member, friend or Salvation Army. 


The reason I buy a specific handbag is because I like the design or I like how it goes with most of the clothing I wear.... + Good quality.


Where do I get most of my bags? 
• Directly at the designer's store.
• Ebay
Now, buying bags on Ebay can be a tricky thing. If you don't know how to distinguish a real bag from a fake, I'd think twice about hitting the BUY button. There are countless videos on YouTube that you can watch that help guide you on how to spot a fake bag!!  Even then, be careful on Ebay.  So far, I've been fortunate to not run into any trouble there.


However, today I wanted to know what brand of bag do you prefer? If you had to pick one bag from your closet....which would it be? Brand name?????


I know that not everyone reading my blog can AFFORD a designer handbag like the ones below, so if it's something simple you bought for less than $100, that's fine too!! A pricier handbag doesn't make a person ANY better, it's just a crazy obsession some of us have developed....

Interiors By Francesca....

I love designers who LIKE to do "affordable luxury" - such as New York designer, Francesca Herrera. 




Let's face it...not everyone can afford to hire a designer - so it's always nice to know that if we CAN, we may not have to spend a million dollars to have our home look good! 
 

Francesca is a native New Yorker, so for all you New York people, she's ready to design for you!!









I like how she says on her site, " I don't follow trends. I let my clients’ passions and interests dictate the emotion and feel of the home. Ultimately, I design homes that progress over time and reflect my clients’ ever- evolving lifestyles.” 














That's something I wish I could do more often, NOT follow TRENDS in my own home! You see, as good as it looks at the moment, the problem with trends in the home is you HAVE to keep changing things out! 

So, using items that are classic & timeless is a BIG plus! Wish I could afford more of those TIMELESS items!!









Anyhow, Francesca's portfolio is gorgeous - and the minute I saw it, I knew I wanted to share it with all of you! My FAVORITE is of the entryway....the large photograph of the white horse, the built in cabinets against the white walls looks flawless. The entryway is so calming....I can imagine entering this home & just wanting to stay awhile.

European Inspiration...

A little Tuesday inspiration....I found this home on bolaget & am now daydreaming of taking a trip abroad. Anyone else feel the same after looking at  gorgeous European homes???


This one in particular was so amazing...from all the details on the ceilings, the super tall thin doors & the black & white checkered floors. 


So many of us will probably NEVER walk into a home like this in our lifetime - perhaps that's why we're so drawn to them right??

I just got my subscription of Metropolitan Magazine and there was Designer Marjorie Skouras (whom I admire) decorating her own Hollywood home! Kind of nice to see a designer's own place. Its BEAUTIFUL! She's so talented and being a woman, I admire her even more.

The Outpost in South Africa = No walls

This uniquely designed hotel is situated in South Africa on a hilltop in an untouched wilderness. Only 24 guests for this paradise of a hotel. Made from steel , canvas and aluminum and surprisingly open and unaffected. So basically you are outside when you shower and sleep but with modern ammenities and a few floors up. Its called The Outpost, how appropriate. Not so sure about the sleeping outside though, how about snakes?

This hotel is so awesome, I had to post it now. Its located in Sao Paolo, Brazil and the name of the hoteL is "UNIQUE", no kidding. Perfect name. The design is so impressive to say the least and RED pool water, how'd you like to swim in that? Beautiful!
