I'm back!!!! It seems like it's been forever and a year since my last post. Did you miss me? I missed you all! I finally have internet and wifi at our house and I'm ready to rock and roll, so if you've emailed me recently, I should be getting back with you soon. The move is going well and I pretty much have the house looking the way I want, but there is still so much more unpacking to do! Why do I have so much junk? Why!
This past weekend Cole and I bought two new (vintage) bicycles. Remember how I was trying to decide on which lovely (expensive) bicycle to buy? Well, I just couldn't make up my mind. So in the end I opted for another vintage beauty. Her name is Imogen and she's a 1971 Schwinn Collegiate 5 speed. Cole bought a 1981 Raleigh 10 speed which he named Mycroft. I plan on having Immy powder coated a lovely mint green, buying her a Brooks leather saddle and grips and a few more odds and ends. Cole just wants to get a Brooks saddle and handlebar tape and that's it. Oh and I already bought all the original Schwinn Collegiate decals on ebay, so I can replace them after painting Immy!
Yesterday, we were able to take a break from unpacking and head on over to Minnehaha Park. It was perfect weather (high 60s) and just what we needed after too many days spent inside. We hung out at the falls, biked around the park, ate a delicious dinner at Sea Salt, got some ice cream and went to the John H. Stevens House which reminded me of Marblehead, MA. All in all, it was a blissful way to spend a Sunday.
