    What's this?
    It's my new little brother (yeah, I'm a crazy animal lady, whateverrrr). My dad has been wanting a hedgehog for quite some time and he finally got one yesterday! So Kevin and I headed over to their house to check him out, I'd never seen or touched one in real life.
    He's very skittish, but I don't blame him, he's in a new place with new people. It was a challenge to get any decent pictures of him. He spent most of our visit tucked up in a tight little ball. When he was out he was startled by ever little noise, especially my camera shutter!  He's so neat, I can't wait to spend more time with him and watch as his personality develops.
    He's pokey but you can still pet him. He doesn't like his head to be touched and wouldn't let me near his belly (I really wanted to pet it!). According to wikipedia hedgehogs are fairly vocal and communicate through a combination of grunts, snuffles and/or squeals, depending on species. I didn't hear him make any noises but I can't even imagine how cute they sound!
