it's always fun styling a fall lookbook and trying to make it look cold when it's really 99 degrees out. good thing planet blue agrees with my fall rules. bathing suit bottoms=pants. throw a jacket and boots on with those little bad boys, and you've got fall. california style. i loved styling this---we were in deliverance backwoods, we got to eat onion rings with mad ranch at a bikers rest stop in the middle of nowhere, and i loved every single bit of the clothes/jewels/shoes/accessories. if i don't get my hands on that fringe backpack i am gonna cry. just kidding. what loser cries over fringe backpacks? (me. if i don't get one). the model killllled the shoot, and is my new favorite person----asia, a foul mouthed badass from belarus who was highlarious (and made even a tongue ring look cool----that's no small feat). she happened to have yellow hair paint in from a previous job that gave her the most awesome long, thick bang-ed weird highlighter ombre that pushed her radness over the edge. hope you like! and have a party hardy weekend. cause, i've already started. xx

palm springs thing

so remember that road trip for planet blue i was telling you about? well here is the first half of the lookbook. 110 degree sweat-stache inducing gnarly-ness and a case of heat stroke later, it was definitely one of the most environmentally challenging shoots i've ever done. homegirl in the corduroy pants was probably hating life a little more than the rest of us. but that's why models get paid the big bucks. i'll be able to post the second half of the sweat-fest next week! speaking of road trips, i am currently on one. for fun. that's right, fun. and i'm stoked. so i will be dropping off the face of the earth yet again. i might post a little something here every now and then if the voyeur in you wants to know what i'm doing rightnowthissecond. adios amigos!

so stoked to show you guys this----a little fourth of july pre-party americana action to get you in the spirit for the weekend! the latest planet blue lookbook. this is exactttly what i want to be doing on on the fourth---chillin' in my bathing suit, drinking some budweiser, lighting up some sparklers, soaking up the sun.....all of the above please! this was a rad day. i did have to spend the day making sure kara had the perfect wedgie, anddd i spent 30 minutes taking a pocket off of a t-shirt with a single pin, but it was par for the course and totally worth it. badass model, clothes that i want to be wearing right now, a perfect day in venice, and of course my girl zoey banging out some beautiful images. another day at the office.
