The third collection I'd like to share with you is my weather house collection. Since the collection has grown they've moved from my dining room (which you can kind of see in this picture) into this beautiful hutch in the hallway. Isn't it gorgeous? It's my favorite style of furniture with the skinny little legs. I know nothing about furniture, and I'm not picky at all but that style is really attractive. My mom got it at a garage sale for me, it was actually my Grandma's husband's Moms. (step great grandma...?)
Technically not all of my houses are weather houses but they are all styled like German chalets. Basically they're all little replicas of my dream home. Hehe. Some are jewelry boxes, some are music boxes and others are coin banks.
The smallest one is 3.5 inches wide by 3 inches tall and is a coin bank. The largest which is a jewelry box (the 5th picture from the top) is 13 inches wide and 7.5 inches tall!
In case you have no idea what a weather house is (which isn't bad, because I had two or so before I actually knew what they were!) there is a man and woman figure, the female comes out of the house when the weather is sunny and dry, while the man comes out when it's rainy. All of my weather houses work except for one. From the pictures above you can see all the ladies were out!
Despite the fact I don't have any more room in the hallway hutch for them I'll continue to buy them when found for the right price. I'd like to put some back in the dining room since I really liked the way that looked too.
Well, I've got to head back to work. I found a whole bunch of things to watch on netflix today while I work (Is that weird that that makes me super motivated?!). I'll be back tomorrow with an outfit post.
xoxo
