We braved the snowy roads yesterday and went to the beach to take a walk.
(that's not fog, it's snow blowing!)
It was beautiful! The wind was whipping and all the snow was blowing. I wish the beach was this peaceful in the summer. I love being there while no one else is, it feels like it's some secret place that no one knows about except us. It's hard to believe that in just a few months this place will be sunny, and packed with people.
(poor Kevin was freezing since he had just gotten off work and wasn't bundled. I, on the other hand, was rocking a one piece snowsuit that I've had since I was like 13.)
Right after getting out of the car we realized how icy everything was. The snow was probably 6 inches deep then had a layer of ice on top of it so you could walk on the snow without sinking in (in most spots, the others you just fell in without warning. It's funny the first five times then it gets annoying) After I slipped, fell and slid down the hill that gets you to the actual beach we realized there was no way we'd be able to take a walk like we normally do and just how fun it would be just to slide down on our butts! So that's what we did...
The beach in the winter is ten times more awesome than the beach in the summer.
